"You've been hit by- You've been struck by- Truck!"

Vajra is a melee brawler class that uses electricity to fight. It can fire off quick bursts of damage and can be very evasive with its teleportation.

Although never referred to as such, it is the Thunder Elementalist from Critical Strike.

Its taunt is the Fortnite default dance.

Moves[]

LMB: Vajra - "Slash and deal damage"

  • 12 damage
  • 0.4 second cooldown
  • Melee
  • The user slashes back and forth with their sword.
  • Audible by everyone

Q: Lightning Dash - "Teleport two times quickly"

  • No damage
  • 4 second cooldown (Begins after 2 seconds or after second cast)
  • Can be used twice, has a recast window of 2 seconds.
  • The user quickly teleports in the direction they're travelling, leaving two copies of itself that quickly fade away.
  • Audible by everyone

E: Electric Current - "Cast a thunderbolt that bounces to players and inflicts Shocked."

  • 10 true damage
  • 4 second cooldown
  • Inflicts Shocked for 1.5 seconds
  • Decent range, fast projectile
  • The user spins clockwise and casts a bolt. If there are others near the first person hit by the bolt, it will bounce to those people until there is no one else nearby who hasn't been hit yet.
  • Audible by everyone

F: Shocking Smite - "Deploy a rod of light that after 1.5s strike the area with heavy lightning."

  • 10 true damage
  • 7 second cooldown
  • 1.5 second startup (audible?)
  • Inflicts Stunned for 0.5 seconds
  • Large cylindrical AoE with seemingly infinite range both up and down.
  • The user raises their sword above their head with both hands, then plunges it into the ground, displaying a very thin cylinder. After startup, it expands immensely, damaging anyone within the AoE.
  • Toollocked during startup
  • Audible by everyone

Q has no player animations.

Appearance[]

The Vajra model is simple, with the hilt resembling a real vajra with a plain blade attached to it. Parts of the hilt extend outwards from the vajra. It's about as tall as the player and is held in the right arm.

Customization[]

Primary Color targets the outward facing hilt parts.

Secondary Color targets the rest of the hilt and the blade of the vajra.

Weapon Color targets the edge of the blade.

Strategies[]

Vajra's moves allow for good stage control, Q being good for mobility, E for slowing foes in place and F being able to trap foes in place or move them to different parts of the stage. Like a good amount of other classes, Vajra benefits greatly from accuracy, especially with E. A good rushing strategy is to utilize E's Shocked with F. Vajra can also be good at more hit-and-run playstyles. Using Q to escape from dash attacks while using E to slowly chip away at foes and hinder their movements. F is a great counter to classes that have moves that send them into the air, like Sniper, Rocket, and Wings.

Combos[]

F + E + LMB + LMB + LMB or E + F + LMB + LMB + LMB

F and E can be interchangeable but they should be used together since they work well as a duo. Using F first requires that you can accurately trap the foe in the AOE. Doing so can allow you to use E and possibly bring in more LMB's. Using E first makes landing F slightly easier as the foe cannot travel far unless they have a movement move. If the setup goes wrong, Q is the best way to get away and wait for another chance.

Techs[]

(wip)

Weaknesses[]

Like many classes, Vajra relies greatly on accuracy. Avoiding F is the best thing to do against a Vajra as getting hit by one almost guarantees 24-48 damage from an experienced player. Try to learn when the Vajra uses their teleports. Do they teleport to approach? Do they teleport to run? Do they do it randomly to confuse you? If you can pick up on their playstyle, it'll make fighting a lot easier. If you're using a tank class or a class with Defense Buffs, be wary that E and F deal true damage and will ignore those buffs.

Trivia[]

  • It's the exact same moveset as the Thunder element but with some damage and timing balancing.
  • It's one of the three classes to make use of the Shocked status effect, the other two being SMG and Stick.
